New Outcomes Publications was founded by Paul Hoobyar in 2018
Paul doesn't just write and publish about outdoor adventure - he's lived it.
When you read Paul's works, it's like stepping into the wild with a master guide.
•DECADES ON THE WATER: 18 years guiding wilderness fly fishing on the Pacific Northwest's most famous and unforgiving rivers. 14 years teaching whitewater kayaking. And Paul continues his river adventures just for the fun of it!
•GLOBAL EXPEDITIONS: Paul has descended uncharted waters and fly fished in rivers domestically and internationally.
•ENVIRONMENTAL WARRIOR: Paul ran a consulting firm specializing in natural resource management and public policy for 23 years. Paul's clients included federal agencies such as US Forest Service and NOAA, as well as State and local government agencies, where he spearheaded practices that helped protect resources for generations to come.
•AUTHOR: Paul's writings have been published in numerous national magazines and newspapers. His breakout novel, Rogue River Reprieve, delivers page-turning adrenaline that only a true river veteran could write.
Watch this video of an actual rescue Paul conducted on the Rogue River.
Instead of joining paralyzed onlookers, Paul quickly read the Class IV Blossom Bar rapids and executed a flawless, mid-rapid extraction of a women stranded on the "picket fence" boulders. He turned this near-tragedy into a masterclass in river running and fodder for his latest action novel. To his surprise he discovered someone had filmed the whole thing!
